Lee Bloxom is pursuing a
Ph.D. in Media, Art & Text at
Virginia Commonwealth University.
Bloxom is an accomplished photographer and writer and has worked as a video producer and secondary English teacher. At VCU, Bloxom has taught academic research and writing, coached art majors on writing artist statements, and worked for
Blackbird, an on-line journal for literature and the arts. She currently works in the Office of the Dean of
the College of Humanities and Sciences.
In addition to her work at VCU, Bloxom teaches creative writing at the
Visual Arts Center of Richmond and coaches students in literary analysis, writing, and academic research.
Her goals in pursuing the PhD in Media, Art & Text are to grow as a writer and artist and to gain the credentials to teach at the university level.
