Mr. Schwartz is a 36 year old male that until recently has been in great health. He works full time as a teacher at the local high school. He teaches calculus. Mr. Schwarz was educated at Georgetown University, where he received his Masters Degree in Education and Bachelors Degree in Math. He is very active with the high school tennis team and drama department. He is single and reports that he has had 15 sexual partners in his life. Currently, he lives at home with his toy poodle and is not involved in a relationship.
Mr. Schwartz reports several weeks of feeling ill. He tells you that he has had cold and flu like symptoms for the past month. His physician has prescribed three rounds of antibiotics that make him temporarily feel better. Today, he complains of a productive cough and some chest tightness. He has lost weight over the past two months. He is happy about the recent weight loss. He tells you that his pants fit better than they have in years. He also reports that he has been suffering from night sweats and chills.
