There are many programs like Stereographic Suite 2.0 and Easy Stereo that generate stereographic images at a click of a button. But electronic stereographs don't appeal to me. I wanted to use a more material medium and attempt to produce stereographs by chalk, pencil, tempera, and watercolor. I used different surfaces—from drawing paper to canvas to foam sheets. Through this exercise, I learned that the positioning of red and blue is what makes 3D happen. Red image should be on the right, while the red lens should cover the left eye. In the same manner, blue is to be positioned on the opposite side of the blue lens. This is what creates the illusion of dimension when the colors are filtered through anaglyph glasses.
