A site that has direct relevance to this web-building project, as well as to my study of the History of Media, Art & Text is A Humument by British artist Tom Phillips. His work is both digital and physical; he maintains a webpage, and has produced several printings of his book.

A Humument is an artistically treated Victorian novel currently in its fourth edition (I believe). The work demonstrates an embellished, altered text, resulting in both a new narrative constructed from pieces, literally and figuratively, of the original text, and an artist book combining text, image and page design.
