All the images shown in the Skylines photo album were taken with a Cannon PowerShot SD800IS Digital ELPH camera. Each image was taken from inside a moving vehicle, either a boat, train, or plane. Each image is a skyline, be it the almost invisible melding of sea and sunrise, the hovering threat of a massive thunderstorm, or the blur of a city miles below a cloud line.
Unlike the other Flash pieces in this portfolio, this piece does not control the time the viewer is allowed access to each image. In that way, the controlled timeline is broken and the viewer can interact with the photos in a manner more akin to print text or print image. I choose to present the images in this manner to work against the way each image was taken, which was in a split second, as time raced by, as the vehicle was in a state of forward motion, and as the skyline changed. In this way the viewer is invited to manipulate time, just as the image does itself.
